Miami's Legends Camp offered the Hurricanes another chance to make an impression on one of the best young pass rushers in the country, and five-star 2028 edge rusher Jalanie George left Coral Gables impressed.

5-star 2028 edge rusher Jalanie George compliments Miami
George plays at Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona. The On3/Rivals Industry Ranking has him as the No. 5 overall player, No. 1 edge rusher and No. 1 player in Arizona in the 2028 class. Rivals' in-house rankings have him as the No. 2 overall player nationally and the No. 1 player at his position. The 247Sports Composite has him as the No. 9 overall player and No. 2 EDGE in the 2028 class.
George put up 54 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery during his sophomore season. As a freshman, George had 63 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two pass breakups and one interception.
George made the cross-country trip to compete at Miami's Legends Camp, where the Hurricanes had several elite 2028 prospects on campus. George measured at 6-foot-4.5 and 245 pounds at the event and spent time working with Miami defensive ends coach Jason Taylor.
Taylor is a Pro Football Hall of Famer, one of the best pass rushers in NFL history and is able to draw the interest of recruits from all over the country.
George has already cut his recruitment to six schools: Miami, Washington, Ohio State, Auburn, Oklahoma and Florida.
Miami has been receiving some positive feedback over the last few weeks from recruits. With official visit season in full swing, Mario Cristobal and his staff have built some serious momentum on the trail.
