The Miami Hurricanes have circled April 4 as a major date for spring recruiting and Mario Cristobal is putting together a strong list of elite prospects that will include five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson.
Dobson, an elite prospect from the Charlotte metro area, has been a player that the Hurricanes staff have been working hard to get on campus. This will give Cristobal a great opportunity to make up some ground in his recruitment and come under consideration for an official visit this summer.

5-star DB Joshua Dobson sets a spring visit to Miami
The April 4 day is going to serve as the big spring recruiting push for Miami. They have put together a spring pool party and Dobson will be joining such elite prospects as five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews and four-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman. That list is expected to grow as the date gets closer and don't be surprised to see some former players hanging around as well. One of Cristobal's best weapons in recruiting is with former players that have gone on to have success at the next level.
Miami's courting of Dobson took a major step forward about a month ago when defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman went to North Carolina to visit him at his school. Hetherman was able to tell Dobson that he was a major priority for the Hurricanes class and that it was important fo him to go on campus soon.

Miami is among a large group of programs that Dobson is looking at. He has no crystal ball predictions yet at 247Sports, but On3/Rivals believes LSU is a heavy favorite. However, it's still early in Dobson's recruitment, and we'll see where he stands after hanging around the Miami campus for a weekend. If the Hurricanes can get him to commit to taking an official visit over the summer, it's game on.Â
