Soon enough, late August will get here and all eyes will be on Carson Beck and the Miami Hurricanes in a highly-anticipated showdown against Notre Dame. This offseason, the Canes made a huge splash, signing Beck shortly after he made the tough decision to delay the NFL and enter the transfer portal.
As you probably know by now, countless people, including Georgia fans, have been ripping Beck, claiming he's overrated and he won't be able to power Miami to a memorable season. It's been pretty much assumed that Mario Cristobal and his players will be watching the 2025 College Football Playoff from home.
Yeah, we're going to go ahead and respectfully disagree with that. Beck is ready to bounce back from a bit of an inconsistent season. Pro Football Focus analyst Max Chadwick is ready to back Beck, claiming he's one of the best quarterbacks in the college game set to take the field in 2025:

Carson Beck and Miami football have plenty of haters leading up to the 2025 season
Last season for Georgia, Beck tossed for 3,845 yards and 28 touchdowns. He powered Georgia to some impressive wins down the stretch. In the SEC Championship Game, though, Beck suffered a torn UCL and he had to undergo surgery.
Despite him entering the portal, Georgia still worked to get him back to Athens, while Kalen DeBoer and Alabama also reportedly came calling. However, Beck's mind was made up and he knew he wanted to take his game to the ACC to make plays for Cristobal and Co.
Spring football is around the corner for the program. Beck isn't expected to participate in practices, as he's still recovering from his serious elbow injury. However, he'll be working overtime behind the scenes learning the offense, studying things closely with Shannon Dawson.
Then once fall camp arrives, Beck will be set to build chemistry with his pass-catchers and the rest of the guys in the locker room. Week 1, Miami has a tough challenge taking on Notre Dame, which just finished as the national runner-up after losing to Ohio State in the CFP title game. With a win, Beck will be able to finally silence so many people trying to bring him down.
