Miami's roster turnover under Jai Lucas continued Friday, with another backcourt piece on the way out.
Hurricanes guard Jordyn Kee has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Kee arrived only last spring as a Georgia transfer, so this turns into a quick exit for a player Miami once viewed as a developmental guard with local ties.

Jordyn Kee's stay at Miami ends after one season
Kee is from Broward County and that background made him a sensible fit on paper for Lucas' first roster. Lucas began his time at Miami placing an emphasis on homegrown talent, which he still holds entering his second year as HC.
Kee appeared in eight games for the Hurricanes and averaged 0.4 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 3.1 minutes per game.
Kee signed with Georgia out of Sagemont Prep in the 2024 class, redshirted during the 2024-25 season, entered the portal last April and committed to Miami soon after that. His decision to come to Coral Gables reunited him with former Georgia assistant Erik Pastrana, who had joined the Hurricanes' staff.

Miami has now lost 59.3 points, 24.4 rebounds and 12.0 assists per game from its current group of outgoing transfers and departing veterans. Luckily for Canes fans, Lucas will never have a more challenging task than the one he overcame last offseason. At this time last offseason, Lucas had to replace all of the production from the previous year.
