The Falcons waived undrafted rookie center James Brockermeyer on Sunday when they set their initial 53 man roster, ending his first NFL camp four months after he signed out of Miami.
Brockermeyer agreed to terms with Atlanta on May 8 after the 2026 draft.

Atlanta Falcons cut C James Brockermeyer
He took first team reps in OTAs when starter Ryan Neuzil was out and spent camp as one of two backups behind Neuzil, with veteran Corey Levin as the other. Levin ended up making the 53-man roster.
Atlanta kept nine offensive linemen: Jake Matthews, Jawaan Taylor, Matthew Bergeron, Chris Lindstrom, Ryan Neuzil, Corey Levin, Michael Jerrell, Kyle Hinton and seventh round pick Ethan Onianwa.
The other linemen cut with Brockermeyer included Brandon Walton, Andrew Stueber, Jaeden Roberts, Wanya Morris, Riley Mahlman and Kam Dewberry.
The Falcons also waived former Miami receiver Keelan Marion the same weekend. Marion was signed after not being drafted and was hoping to crack the roster of his hometown team. His preseason numbers were less than Canes fans would have liked to see. Marion only logged one reception for nine yards.
Brockermeyer arrived in Coral Gables for 2025 after three seasons at Alabama and one at TCU. He started at center for the Hurricanes and was a third team All ACC selection. He is the son of former NFL tackle Blake Brockermeyer and the twin brother of tackle Tommy Brockermeyer. He was a four-star recruit out of All Saints Episcopal in Fort Worth.
He can be claimed on waivers Monday. If he clears, Atlanta or another club can sign him to a practice squad.
