All eyes are on 5-star wide receiver Brysen Wright for Miami Hurricanes fans. While plenty of people are down in the dumps over Malachi Toney missing the Notre Dame game due to surgery, some needed good news is expected to arrive for Mario Cristobal and his staff. It's decision day for Wright, and countless signs are pointing to him giving the Hurricanes his verbal pledge.

Need further proof of that? Leading up to Wright's decision, 5-star Miami commit A'mir Sears took to social media to drop quite the photo of him, Wright, and fellow elite Canes' commit Bryce Fitzgerald. The thought of these three suiting up for The U together is amazing, and it's certainly in the cards...

Brysen Wright committing to Miami would give Mario Cristobal another massive 5-star recruiting win

Does Sears know something that we don't? Maybe, or perhaps this is his final pitch to Wright before he makes this life-changing decision public. Everyone will find out soon enough, but Cristobal is in a fantastic position to get this one over the line.

For a while now, Miami has been in the driver's seat to win this recruiting battle, though Steve Sarkisian and Jon Sumrall have refused to go down without a fight. Miami, Texas, and Florida are the three finalists for the 6-3, 215-pounder. Throughout his recruitment, the Jacksonville product picked up 32 offers, but only this trio of powerhouses remain in the hunt.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Wright is ranked five stars, the No. 1 wide receiver in the country, and No. 3 player overall for the 2028 class. However, there have been plenty of rumblings that he could end up reclassifying to '27, which would be pretty dang eye-opening on its own. That remains a bit unclear at this time, however.

Regardless, a bright future will await Wright in Coral Gables if he ultimately decides to commit to Miami. Cristobal and his staff have been working overtime to land him, while Sears and other future Miami standouts have been doing their part as well. From our chair, Florida is the biggest threat to ruin this for the Canes, but all the buzz seems to be trending towards the ACC giants.

Thus far for the '28 haul, quarterback Knox Annis, Wright's Mandarin High teammate, and offensive tackle Kweli Fielder are on board. Wright grabbing a seat at the table not only wouldn't be a surprise, but it's starting to feel like that news is about to drop. Should that happen, it would give Cristobal the massive in-state recruiting win he's been wanting for quite some time.
