Cam Ward didn't mince words after the Titans let a winnable game slip away on Sunday. He revealed the mindset that has defined his climb from 0 stars to the No. 1 pick.
"You get touchdowns or you die trying," Ward said after the Tennessee Titans' 34-26 loss to the New Orleans Saints. "So, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether you're up by a lot or you're down by a lot, just got to take every drive the same and try to score points."
Cam Ward's mentality is UNMATCHED:

QB Cam Ward's mentality is something Tennessee Titans fans will love
Tennessee led 20-10 at halftime and still had a 26-20 lead early in the fourth quarter before the Saints came back.
Ward has shown the ability to create and stretch the field, but the Titans have also lived with the rookie mistakes that come with trying to play fast and fearless in the NFL. Against New Orleans, he finished 21-of-40 for 251 yards and two touchdowns, but a strip-sack by Chase Young turned into a defensive touchdown.
Even in a 3-13 season, Ward's recent stretch has looked like a quarterback settling in. Sunday was his fourth straight game with two touchdown passes. Over the season, Ward has thrown for 3,117 yards with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
On Sunday night Ward also included an acknowledgment that "change is coming" with the season nearing its end. He mentioned that the winning culture starts with "every person in the building" having the right mindset. That's going to be the biggest thing for the Titans going forward after this year.
The Titans drafted Ward first overall to be a franchise quarterback, and Ward has carried himself like someone who expects to be that, even when the team is near the bottom of the NFL.
