Carson Beck earned a No. 7 QB ranking and a 91 overall rating in EA Sports College Football 26’s top 20 QB list. The senior’s move to Miami has generated optimism and if fully healthy, Beck could showcase his ceiling with the Hurricanes.

Beck arrives at Miami after a productive yet injury‑marred tenure at Georgia. In 2024, he tossed 3,485 yards and 28 touchdowns over 13 starts. However, his season ended prematurely when he suffered a right elbow UCL injury in the SEC Championship Game and underwent surgery in late December. Despite the injury and a dip in completion percentage (64.7%) and a rise in interceptions (12), EA still rewarded him with a 91 overall rating.
The Miami offense earned an 89 offensive rating in EA Sports College Football 26, placing it 10th nationally. With coordinator Shannon Dawson shaping a transfer-laden attack, Beck and the new-look offense have a chance to replicate the success from last year.
At No. 1 on the list there is a three-way tie at 92 overall. Clemson's Cade Klubnik, LSU's Garrett Nussmeier and Penn State's Drew Allar make up the top of the list. There are four QB's tied for the No. 2 position sitting at 91 overall: Beck, Arizona State's Sam Leavitt, South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers and Oklahoma's John Mateer.
The pressure for Beck is high as he takes over for Cam Ward in Coral Gables. Last year, Ward led the Hurricanes offense to national prominance with an average of over 40 points per game. Beck has the respect of those around college football but the feeling that something is missing still looms as he made too many mistakes last year with Georgia. Miami is hoping to build off their season last year and finish strong to make the program's first college football playoff appearance.
