Carson Beck rose from 44th to 36th in the weekly CBS Sports "College Football QB Power Rankings." Unlike the ESPN Power Four quarterback rankings, CBS Sports ranks the top 50 signal callers in all of the Football Bowl Subdivision.
Beck completed 21 passes in 27 attempts for 291 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions as Miami defeated North Carolina State 41-7 on Saturday. Including the 38-7 win over Syracuse on November 8, Beck has thrown 51 consecutive passes without an interception.

David Cobb, who produces the rankings for CBS Sports, explained that "they're a real-time evaluation of performance, factoring in competition, pressure and production." North Carolina State QB C.J. Bailey fell from 11th to 26th in the CBS Sports QB power rankings after Miami stiffled the Wolfpack.
Bailey completed 17 passes in 30 attempts for 120 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions and ran six times for 11 yards and a score. Miami held Bailey to 12 completions in 23 attempts for 73 yards with no TDs and two interceptions through three quarters.

Beck only played through the first drive of the fourth quarter. Miami reserve QBs Emory Williams and Luke Nickel each received a drive in the fourth quarter after Beck exited. There has been a lot of focus on Beck's interceptions in the past two seasons.
Carson Beck's performance this season for Miami
The game against North Carolina State was the sixth in 2025 which Beck has not thrown an interception. Beck has completed a career-high 73.2 percent of his pass attempts for 2,485 yards, 18 TDs and nine interceptions in 2025.
Beck completed his last 13 passes against North Carolina State. Miami had a big-play offense against North Carolina State, led by Beck. Beck had eight completions of 15 or more yards, two of which went for TDs. Beck finished with seven completions for 20 or more yards as Miami dominated NC State.
