After being +300 earlier this week and leading the FanDuel Sportsbook Heisman Trophy odds, Miami quarterback Carson Beck has plummeted far more than expected after throwing four interceptions in a 24-21 loss to Louisville on Friday night.
The final interception thrown by Beck came on the last drive of the game to end the opportunity for Miami to get in position for a potential game-tying field goal or a win with a touchdown. Beck was +2500 to win the Heisman Trophy immediately after losing to Louisville.
On Saturday morning, the FanDuel Sportsbook had Beck at +4000 and by early evening, that dropped to +5500. Beck is now tied for 14th with Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King and Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.
Beck completed 25 passes in 35 attempts for 271 yards without a TDD against Louisville. In the previous game against Florida State, Beck completed 20 passes in 27 attempts for 241 yards, four TDs and no interceptions. Beck threw multiple interceptions in a game for the second time in 2025.

Beck has completed 73.0 percent of his passes this season for 1,484 yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. As of the start of Saturday's games, the seven interceptions thrown by Beck are tied for the seventh-highest total in the nation, shared with five other quarterbacks.
The four-interception game by Beck has reshaped the Heisman Trophy race. Miami Columbus alum Fernando Mendoza of Indiana is now the Heisman Trophy Odds leader at +250. Julian Sayin of Ohio State is +340 and Ty Simpson of Alabama is +430.
Four of the last six games for Miami are against the four worst pass defenses in the ACC. Virginia Tech, with the eighth-ranked pass defense in the ACC and Pittsburgh, which is ninth, project to be the toughest remaining pass defenses Miami will play on the remaining 2025 schedule.
