EA Sports College Football 27 has released its first official team ratings. Oregon is the game's highest-rated team at 91 overall, Ohio State and Indiana follow at 90, while Notre Dame and Texas sit at 89. Miami, Ole Miss and LSU are tied at 88, with Georgia and Oklahoma rounding out the top 10 at 87.

CFB 27 team ratings just dropped

Oregon earned the top spot with a 91 offense and a 91 defense. Ohio State owns the game's highest offensive rating at 92, but its defense checks in at 88. The Hoosiers are rated 90 on both sides of the ball.

The Irish have an 88 offense and 90 defense, while Texas sits at 90 on offense and 88 on defense.

Georgia is ninth at 87 overall despite an 89 defensive rating because its offense comes in at 85. The Crimson Tide have an 89 defense, but their 82 offensive rating leaves them at 86 overall and outside the top 10.

Texas Tech has a 90 defense, tied with Notre Dame for the second-highest mark in the game, but their 85 offensive rating keeps them at 87 overall.

Miami gets respect but should still be higher

Miami's 88 overall rating puts the Hurricanes in a tie for sixth nationally. The Hurricanes received a 90 offensive rating, tied with Indiana and Texas for the third-highest mark in College Football 27. Their 86 defensive rating is strong, though it trails the game's top defensive teams and explains why Miami sits just outside the 89- and 90-overall group.

The Hurricanes are also the highest-rated ACC team in the game. Louisville is next at 84, followed by Clemson at 83, Florida State at 82 and Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech at 81.

Malachi Toney was selected as one of the standard-edition cover athletes alongside Oregon quarterback Dante Moore and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy. So while Miami's ranking is respectable, there is a case for the Hurricanes to be higher.

College Football 27 launches worldwide July 9. MVP+ members receive access July 2, while Deluxe Edition and MVP Bundle players can begin July 6.
