Using descriptors like G.O.A.T., seven-time National Champion, and college football analyst might paint the picture of someone who knows a little bit about the world of the College Football Playoff.
Put a name like Nick Saban next to those descriptors, and one would know that the person understands the sport, unlike anyone else in the country.
Weeks ago, while at the ESPN College GameDay crew was in Ann Arbor for The Game between Michigan and Ohio State, Saban predicted that the Miami Hurricanes would be one of the teams that others needed to be scared of if they made it into the playoffs.
Well, after Miami's quarterfinal game against the Ohio State Buckeyes, it sure looks like Saban was right about the Canes.
Nick Saban foresaw Miami's CFP run
"I think if Miami finds their way into the playoffs, they will be one of the most dangerous teams in the Playoff," Saban said. "With Carson Beck, the offensive line they have, the skill guys they have, the defense they have... if they get into this Playoff, they are going to be the most dangerous team that anybody has to play."
Over the last two games, the No. 10 Hurricanes have upset the No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies 10-7 and the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes 24-14.

In the first round, the defense was as dominant as possible. In the second round, the defense continued to show out, and the offense kicked into high gear. Saban was right, and the rest of the country needs to start paying Miami the respect it deserves.
Up next, on Jan. 8, at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Hurricanes and head coach Mario Cristobal will take on the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels in the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.
