Five Miami Hurricanes made the Reese’s Senior Bowl preseason Top 300 watch list this week: QB Carson Beck, C James Brockermeyer, RT Francis Mauigoa, DE Akheem Mesidor and LB Wesley Bissainthe. The Senior Bowl moved from last year’s 850-player watch list to a more selective Top 300 that features only 2026 draft-eligible prospects.
QB Carson Beck
The Georgia transfer arrived in January and is set to start his final college season in Coral Gables after going 24–3 as the Bulldogs’ QB. Last year he had a 64.7% completion rate, 3,485 yards, 28 TD, 12 INT and an 80.9 QBR. Beck has been included in multiple national award preseason watch lists and looks to solidify himself among the top QB prospects.
C James Brockermeyer
A portal pickup, Brockermeyer spent three seasons at Alabama before starting at TCU in 2024, earning All–Big 12 honorable mention. He allowed just one sack and eight QB pressures last season.
RT Francis Mauigoa
Though a junior, Mauigoa is draft-eligible and widely regarded as one of the top tackles in the nation. PFF ranked him the No. 2 returning OT entering 2025 and he landed on the AP Preseason All-America second team. ESPN NFL analyst Field Yates projected Mauigoa to the Arizona Cardinals at No. 14 in his 2026 mock draft.
DE Akheem Mesidor
Mesidor will look to wreak havoc on opposing offenses opposite Rueben Bain. Miami's defense has a lot to prove this year and Mesidor will be a big part of their success if they can turn things around. Last season he logged 32 tackles (17 solo), 9.0 TFL, 5.5 sacks, one FF and six QB hurries.
LB Wesley Bissainthe
The senior LB is already on the Butkus Award watch list and now lands early Senior Bowl attention. Last year Bissainthe put up 59 total tackles (36 solo), 5.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks and one INT.
