Miami quarterback Carson Beck, center James Brockermeyer, right tackle Francis Mauigoa and defensive end/edge rusher Rueben Bain were named midseason All-Americans by CBS Sports on Monday. The four Miami midseason All-Americans were the most from one team.
Beck is fourth nationally, with a 73.4 completion percentage, 13th with a 168.49 passer rating and 26th, averaging 8.7 yards per attempt, while posting 242.6 yards per game with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. FanDuel Sportsbook lists Beck as the Heisman Trophy odds leader.
Per Pro Football Focus via Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U, Brockermeyer has allowed four pressures and no sacks with a 76.1 pass blocking grade and 67.1 run blocking grade. Brockermeyer transferred to Miami after playing at Alabama from 2021 through 2023 and spending the 2024 season at TCU.
Mauigoa received an 82.6 PFF pass blocking grade and 81.5 run blocking grade while permitting five quarter pressures and two sacks through the first five 2025 Miami games per Urrutia. Per Urrutia, Mauigoa is one of only four offensive linemen nationally with run and pass blocking grades from PFF over 80.

The four Miami players were the only Midseason All-Americans from the ACC. Notre Dame Cornerback Leonard Moore is the only 2025 Miami opponent who was named a CBS Sports Midseason All-American. Beck had four completions in six attempts for 47 yards and a TD versus Moore.
Bain leads Miami with 26 tackles, has 3.5 TFLs, 2.0 sacks, one interception, one pass defended and one forced fumble in 2025. In their summary of the Florida State game, Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman of PFF said Bain should be the Heisman Trophy winner.
Bain is close to a lock to be a first-team All-American if he stays healthy. Mauigoa will also likely be a first-team All-American. Beck and Brockermeyer are on pace at least for consideration to be first-team All-Americans in 2025. Miami had three consensus All-Americans in 1986 and 1992.
