The Hurricanes brought in help, but a chunk of outgoing players have also found new homes quickly. 18 Miami departures have already landed at new schools, and 14 of those moves are to Power Four programs.
Miami transfers in latest transfer portal window
NC State has been one of the biggest beneficiaries, landing linebacker Raul Aguirre, wide receiver Joshisa Trader and wide receiver Chance Robinson, all listed with transfer grades of 86 or higher by 247Sports. Missouri has also added some former Miami players in the form of defensive tackle Donta Simpson, linebacker Bobby Washington and linebacker Malik Bryant.
Beyond those programs, the destinations stretch far and wide. Michigan State grabbed cornerback Charles Brantley, Tennessee added defensive back Jadais Richard, and UCF took defensive tackle Artavius Jones. On offense, Indiana landed tight end Brock Schott, Ole Miss picked up offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler, and Auburn added offensive lineman Deryc Plazz. The ACC also stayed in the mix with Wake Forest taking wide receiver Ny Carr and Louisville landing defensive lineman Daylen Russell.
A few moves landed outside the Power Four, too. East Carolina took two Hurricanes, wide receiver Ray Ray Joseph and quarterback Emory Williams, while Buffalo landed interior offensive lineman Nino Francavilla. On Tuesday, defensive back Amari Wallace announced his commitment to FCS' Sacramento State.
Defensive back Markeith Williams is the player that is still in the portal looking for a new home. Williams entered the portal in September 2025 and was reportedly dismissed from the program.
247Sports recently pegged the Hurricanes' incoming portal class at No. 4 nationally with 12 commits. Offensively, Duke QB Darian Mensah and Duke WR Cooper Barkate are the headliners. On the other side of the ball, EDGE Damon Wilson II (Missouri), who was second team All-SEC last year, comes into the fold.
