Incoming transfers to Miami
QB Darian Mensah (Duke)
Mensah's transfer was held up by a legal dispute with Duke tied to his NIL deal, but the sides reached a settlement that cleared the way for him to leave and commit to Miami. He was a second-team All-ACC pick in 2025 and threw for 3,973 yards and 34 TDs as Duke won the ACC.
WR Cooper Barkate (Duke)
Barkate is following Mensah to Coral Gables after a monster season as his top target at Duke. He posted 72 catches for 1,106 yards and seven TDs in 2025 and has back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
EDGE Damon Wilson II (Missouri)
Wilson earned second-team All-SEC honors, finished third in the SEC with nine sacks, and ranked as ESPN's No. 9 overall portal player.
DL Keona Davis (Nebraska)
Davis started 12 of 13 games and finished with 32 tackles, 3.5 TFL and 1.5 sacks in 2025.
DB Conrad Hussey (Oregon State)
Hussey played three games last season (five tackles), and his career totals are 45 tackles, one INT, three PBUs, two forced fumbles across 27 games.
IOL Johnathan Cline (East Tennessee State)
Cline (6-4, 315) originally signed with UCF in the 2023 class and arrived at ETSU before hitting the portal again.
DL Jarquez Carter (Ohio State)
The Buckeyes true freshman defensive lineman committed to Miami after playing in seven games this season. Carter gives Miami another young interior body to develop.
WR Cam Vaughn (West Virginia)
Vaughn has put together back-to-back solid seasons: 48 catches for 803 yards and five TDs in 2024, then 40 for 541 and four TDs in 2025.
WR Vandrevius Jacobs (South Carolina)
Jacobs is coming off a 2025 season with 32 catches for 548 yards and four touchdowns at South Carolina. He's a Florida native who started his career at Florida State.
S Omar Thornton (Boston College)
Started 11 games for Boston College in 2025, posting 82 tackles, eight tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, two sacks and an interception. He's a South Florida product (American Heritage).
K Jake Weinberg (Florida State)
Weinberg went 12-for-19 on field goals in 2025.
K Jack Olsen (Northwestern)
Olson hit 19 of 21 field goals in 2025 and is 40-of-51 on career field goal attempts.
Departures from Miami via the transfer portal
WR Joshisa "JoJo" Trader
Trader was a former blue-chip South Florida recruit who never really found a consistent role in Miami's WR rotation.
LB Raul Aguirre Jr.
Aguirre entered the portal and has already landed at NC State, where he's expected to compete for a bigger role. He finished 2025 with 43 tackles while playing in all 16 games.
DB Jadais Richard
Richard is out of Miami and committed to Tennessee out of the portal.

LB Bobby Washington Jr.
Washington signed with the Hurricanes out of Miami Palmetto as a touted recruit in the 2023 class. He was a four-star recruit by Rivals and was ranked among the top linebackers nationally.
He never carved out a major defensive role in Coral Gables, but he did play. Washington appeared in 14 games over the last two seasons, logging seven tackles and a half sack in that span.
QB Emory Williams
Williams appeared in 12 career games for the Hurricanes and threw for 813 yards with four touchdowns.
Williams helped Miami rally past Clemson in his first start, 28-20, in double OT, completing 24 of 33 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown in his first career start. Williams then exited late with an injury in his next start against FSU.
Williams played in two games in 2024, highlighted by an efficient outing against Ball State, when he went 11 of 12 for 161 yards and a touchdown. He also saw time in Miami's Pop-Tarts Bowl game against Iowa State. In 2025, he appeared in five games and finished 13 of 19 for 156 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions.
TE Brock Schott
Schott was lightly used, logging two catches for 24 yards against Bethune-Cookman. Schott arrived at Miami as a four-star prospect and the No. 246 overall player in his class, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He was also listed as the No. 13 tight end and the No. 6 player in Indiana.
WR Chance Robinson
Robinson appeared in two games this season and has played in five total games in two years at Miami. Robinson signed with Miami as a four-star in the 2024 class and was the No. 165 overall player and No. 27 receiver in the Rivals Industry Ranking.
DL Donta Simpson
Simpson played at Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, Fla.) and was a three-star prospect, listed as the No. 562 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle by the Rivals Industry Ranking. He recorded four total tackles this season.
WR Ray Ray Joseph
Former four-star slot receiver Nathaniel "Ray Ray" Joseph was Miami's first player to hit the portal for this cycle. He entered after three seasons where he struggled to crack a loaded wide receiver rotation. Joseph finished 2025 with two catches for 25 yards and leaves with 14 receptions for 134 yards in his Hurricanes career.
DL Daylen Russell
Defensive lineman Daylen Russell, a Columbus High School product and hometown kid, has also entered the transfer portal. Russell provided depth up front for two seasons and was viewed as a developmental piece behind Miami's front-line stars. At Columbus he was highly productive, posting 17 sacks, 157 tackles and 34 tackles for loss over three varsity years before signing with Miami as a three-star recruit.
WR Ny Carr
Ny Carr is reportedly planning to enter the transfer portal after seeing a limited role in Miami's breakout season. Carr logged four catches for 53 yards in 2025 after arriving as a four-star prospect who starred at Colquitt County in Georgia with more than 3,000 career receiving yards and 44 touchdowns in high school.
S Markeith Williams
Safety Markeith Williams technically started Miami's 2026 portal cycle back in September. The former four-star defensive back from Orlando Evans High School totaled 31 tackles across 25 games in three seasons before electing to transfer and later being dismissed from the program for multiple violations of team rules.
