It's NFL Combine week and football fans across the country are going to be glued to their seats waiting to see which stars will raise their stock. Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward could end up going No. 1 overall, but will he showcase his stuff in Indianapolis to prove he's worthy?
That remains up in the air. While Ward will be in town to meet with the media and speak with scouts/general managers, countless people are waiting to find out if he's going to throw at the Combine or not. Shedeur Sanders, the other top QB candidate, has decided against it.
According to reporter Tom Pelissero, Ward remains undecided on what he's going to end up doing. On one hand, Ward has done more than enough to prove he's an elite prospect, putting up video game numbers in recent seasons for Incarnate Word, Washington State and Miami. However, might he be inclined to silence his doubters by throwing the ball all over the field this week?
Per @TomPelissero on @GMFB, itβs uncertain whether Cam Ward will throw at the Combine. But, Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart, Bama QB Jalen Milroe and Notre Dame QB Riley Leonard will throw. https://t.co/eFamI4KLTr

Miami quarterback Cam Ward is undecided on throwing at the NFL Combine
Back in the good old days, we'd always see the best quarterbacks light up the field in Indy, which had people tuning into the action and loving every minute of it. Things have changed, though, and Ward indeed doesn't have an easy decision to make here.
Conversely, we're a bit split on things, but if the standout signal-caller decides to just do interviews and take it easy in terms of workouts, then so be it. Ward has been linked with the Tennessee Titans, the owners of the No. 1 pick, for quite some time now.
The AFC South side needs a new franchise quarterback and Ward has all the tools to be a stud at the next level. However, Sanders, Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter are also candidates to be taken with the top pick. Not only that, but Tennessee is reportedly open to trading the No. 1 spot too.
To add to the madness, Jordan Raanan's sources are telling him the Giants have their sights set on Sanders over Ward. If the Giants stand pat at No. 3 and both Ward and Sanders are available, they'd go with the Colorado QB? We don't get it, but Joe Schoen better know what he's doing. Regardless of that, Ward won't have to wait long to hear his name called come draft night. Him throwing or not throwing at the Combine isn't going to change that.
