Jimbo Fisher sends warning to Miami ahead of CFP battle at Texas A&M

Former Aggies coach said the noise at Kyle Field is real...and it's amazing

Jimbo Fisher disputes Nick Saban claims that Texas A&M pipes in artificial noise and says that Miami will have to deal with the loudest environment in college football.

In less than 24 hours, the Hurricanes will play their most important game in over 20 years, a College Football Playoff first-round game against Texas A&M from Kyle Field in front of a crowd of over 100,000 people. The Aggies are a 3.5-point favorite on FanDuel and the weather forecast has above average temperatures for the noon kickoff.

"And contrary to what Nick said, they do not pipe in noise. They don't have to. I know everybody thinks that," Fisher added.

Fisher, of course, coached the Aggies from 2018 to 2023, so maybe he knows a little something he's not telling. Either way, it's no secret that Kyle Field is going to be loud. It's probably going to be the loudest place that the Hurricanes have played at since the last time they were at Kyle Field in 2022. There is just a small handful of players on the roster that remember that trip and the 17-9 loss.

"It will be the most deafening environment in college football. I don't think there's more noise anywhere in any stadium," Fisher said. "This is an engineering vessel. It's extremely loud. It's as good a home-field environment and it's as hard to communicate as any there is in college football."

Miami is well-equipped to deal with the noise

Unlike three years ago, Mario Cristobal's first season at Miami as head coach, the Hurricanes have the tools to deal with a noisy environment, even one as loud as Texas A&M. The offensive line is a seasoned, skilled group that has played together for a while.

Carson Beck is an fifth-year senior with a ton of experience in big games and loud environments during his four seasons at Georgia. He's never faced Texas A&M or been to Kyle Field (oddly enough, Georgia and TAMU have only played once since the Aggies joined the league in 2012), but he's been in games at tough environments at Texas and Alabama and Tennessee...he'll be fine.

For Miami there will be nothing more satisfying than turning Kyle Field into a library.
