Nick Saban says Miami will have to contend with artificial noise from Kyle Field

We already know that Texas A&M has some shady law enforcement inside Kyle Field, but are those Aggies doing something far, far worse?

Nick Saban says that he believes Texas A&M pipes in artificial crowd noise, which is about as nasty of an accusation as you can make in the SEC world. It would be a real shame if Texas A&M's 100,000-plus fans weren't loud enough for the Aggies to have a legitimate home field advantage.

Saban continued on by saying, "The one thing that I think... Miami can get under center and they can run the ball. That might be helpful to be able to settle them down from a noise standpoint. But if you have to go on silent count, which you probably will, especially if you're in the gun, it's going to be a huge advantage for A&M's defense."

Miami's success in the trenches can quiet the crowd

Saban's point about running the ball is accurate here. Miami has a big, nasty offensive line made for these moments. They have a big, physical running back in Mark Fletcher that can grind out yards. If the Hurricanes can control the ball and control the line of scrimmage, they will successfully neutralize a quiet crowd.

This is something that Mario Cristobal's teams have had success with before in tough environments. We can go back to when Cristobal was at Oregon and the Ducks went into Columbus and beat mighty Ohio State 35-28. The Buckeyes had plenty of yards and gaudy stats by staging a late rally, but the Ducks rushed for 269 yards and controlled the game during the middle quarters.

Carson Beck's experience will come into play

Establishing dominance at the line of scrimmage will temper the crowd, but this is Beck's time to shine. The redshirt senior has two years of starting experience in the SEC. He's played in front of big crowds before and competed in SEC Championship games, which is as loud as any place you'll find. He should not be rattled by big crowds and a lot of noise.

Even if the noise is being piped in.
