Many Miami fans may not even remember this former baseball and football recruit.

Following what feels like the reality show of former Ole Miss head coach and now LSU head coach Lane Kiffin can be hard for everyone in college football. While Kiffin at LSU may not be as much of a circus as Bill Belichick is at UNC, he still makes a few questionable decisions.

The latest decision to come from Kiffin is bringing in Middle Tennessee State quarterback Kaden Martin. Miami fans are probably asking themselves right now why they would care in the slightest about a quarterback from Middle Tennessee State, but he actually has ties to the Hurricanes.

Martin was once with the Hurricanes, a three-star recruit out of high school in the Class of 2022. He spent his first season with Miami, but was not only on the football field, but also spent time on the baseball diamond as well.

Martin didn't find a ton of success on the diamond for the Hurricanes either, only appearing in two games before transferring to East Tennessee State for baseball. Martin didn't see any action on the baseball field there either, which led him to Middle Tennessee State.

Now, after really only working on the scout team at MTSU, Martin will get another shot at the power conference level with only one year of eligibility left. With an already crowded quarterback room, this has to have a lot of people scratching their heads, wondering what Kiffin's angle is here.

Miami fans certainly don't have much to say on the kid, as he barely saw any time on the field as a Hurricane, both in football and baseball. His dual-threat ability could be attributed to his experience playing both football and baseball, but he will have a long road ahead of him to win any sort of time on the field with LSU.

Miami can only sit back and watch the Lane Kiffin show

Miami fans have to be happy to be in the ACC, away from the craziness of Lane Kiffin and LSU. The Hurricanes already have to see the trainwreck that is Bill Belichick and UNC, and that is bad enough. Kiffin has certainly made some interesting choices since leaving for Baton Rouge.

Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal has gone head-to-head against Kiffin on the recruiting trail a few times this offseason. There have been a few wins and a few losses, but nothing that Miami has had to worry about.
