A second commitment to the Miami Hurricanes this weekend could bring about an interesting development for Mario Cristobal as the class begins to fill up.
Four-star linebacker Noah Glover made his pledge to the Hurricanes on Sunday night, choosing Miami over Georgia and Notre Dame. This pledge came shortly after four-star defensive lineman DeMarco Jenkins committed to Miami and Glover became the 17th member of the Hurricanes' 2027 recruiting class.Â

The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder is considered the No. 154 overall player and No. 10 linebacker this cycle.

Glover's recruitment took a huge step forward during a spring visit when he had a chance to talk shop with defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman. The Hurricanes linebacker class is coming together quickly with Glover's commitment and last week's commitment of four-star linebacker AJ Randle. Glover committed after taking his official visit t Coral Gables this weekend. The commitment has moved the Hurricanes' class into third nationally on 247Sports and fourth on On3/Rivals.
4-star LB Noah Glover adds his name to the Miami Hurricanes recruiting class
Glover mentioned his relationship with Hetherman as the difference maker in his recruitment.
"The way he teaches, he teaches so many different ways. How he is so authentic and so energetic, that's what you want as a linebackers coach," Glover told Brian Dohn at 247Sports. "And he's my defensive coordinator. So I am not just learning the linebacker position, I am learning everything around it."
The big question is how this affects the recruitment of five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson and that is an answer we probably won't know for a while. Henderson was also on his official visit to Miami this past weekend and left Coral Gables feeling quite good about the Hurricanes, but he also made it clear that he was not going to rush any decision. I don't think that it affects things too much. If Henderson wants to be a Hurricane, I think Mario Cristobal will gladly add him to the class, whether that's this month, next month or in December. But Miami isn't going to take that many more players in this class. The final number is expected to be less than 25 players total and much closer to 22 players, so room is limited.Â
Also, don't let the stars fool you. Those things are fan tools and have nothing to do with how the Hurricanes staff has evaluated these recruits and where they are on the board. There's no reason to think that Glover "took" Henderson's spot in the class. Everything in recruiting is very fluid and can change from moment to moment.Â
Cristobal came into the weekend hoping to continue the recruiting momentum that Miami has had for most of the year and the Hurricanes added two more players to the class. Expect the good times to continue to roll as Miami is going to be a program to watch for the next three weeks of official visits before the summer dead period. Now we'll see what he has for an encore with another weeked of official visitors on tap. You would be hard pressed to find a program that's running on all cylinders at a higher rate than Miami.
