The recruiting cycle for Miami since appearing in the National Championship has been booming, and Mario Cristobal isn't done yet. Now that the Hurricanes have proven they have what it takes to get to the big game, recruits are loving what Miami is offering when it comes to recruiting.
The biggest aspect of Cristobal's recruiting is that he is winning the in-state recruiting game, beating out other big programs like Florida, Florida State, and UCF. The latest in-state commitment Miami received was interior offensive lineman Sean Tatum, a four-star recruit out of Fort Pierce, Florida.
Tatum chose Miami over other top programs after him, like Tennessee, Auburn, and in-state rival Florida. Granted, Tatum does have official visits scheduled with all four of those programs, with Miami being his first visit.

Miami is raking in the in-state commitments in the state of Florida
Mario Cristobal has certainly outdone himself this offseason when it comes to recruiting, as the Hurricanes currently have the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation, according to 247Sports. It is also a fairly large class, especially at this point in the recruiting cycle, with nine commitments.
Of the nine commitments Miami has so far, eight of them are from the state of Florida. It is clear that Miami has taken over the recruiting game in the state of Florida. While the other Florida schools have had their down years in the past, Miami has certainly capitalized on recruits not really wanting to go there.
Tatum is a great pickup for Miami as the Hurricanes can use some help on the offensive line in the coming years. The Hurricanes have a lot of great weapons coming in in the coming years, especially 2027 quarterback commit Israel Abrams, whom Miami will need to have protection for. Tatum can provide that for Miami, and Cristobal is happy to welcome his commitment.
