Miami's early grip on one of South Florida's top playmakers is getting tested again as 4-star wide receiver Ah'Mari Stevens prepares to spend time around Georgia, adding the Bulldogs to a growing list of national powers trying to pull him away from his long-time Hurricanes pledge.

Stevens, a Class of 2027 receiver, has been committed to Miami since Jan. 13, 2025, but Georgia's recent push — among others — has put him in "flip watch" territory.

4-star WR Ah'Mari Stevens could flip from Miami

Stevens is scheduled to make an official visit to Georgia on Friday, June 5. Stevens has lined up four official visits overall: LSU (April 18), Miami (May 29), Georgia (June 5) and Texas (June 19).

Stevens holds a 247Sports rating of 90. He sits in the national top 300 in both 247Sports and the composite rankings, and he's regarded as one of the better receivers in Florida for the 2027 cycle.

Stevens finished his sophomore season with 44 catches for 550 yards and eight touchdowns, part of a state-title run at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas. He then transferred to Chaminade-Madonna for his junior season after initially deciding to transfer to Miami Edison (via helicopter tour).

Miami's advantage has always been its relationship and proximity to Stevens. He's been drawn to Miami since his childhood. He has also singled out receivers coach Kevin Beard as a major reason he chose the Hurricanes in the first place, pointing to a long relationship that started when Beard offered him early.

Texas, Georgia and LSU will certainly try to build a relationship as strong as Miami's as the summer gets closer. And as of right now — despite a very strong connection to Stevens — the Hurricanes will need to keep an eye on some of the teams he chooses to visit, because nothing is guaranteed in college football recruiting.
