Plenty of us are still in shock over the March Madness stunner in the second round. That's right, No. 1 seed Florida was expected to take care of business against No. 9 Iowa, but Todd Golden and Co. blew it, seeing their season come to an end.

Miami's season is over, but one name changes everything moving forward

Despite Miami and Jai Lucas losing in the second round as well, plenty of Miami fans have been quick to laugh at Florida's expense. As it turns out, head man Mario Cristobal also decided to get in on the fun, trolling the Gators not long after the final whistle. Yup, Cristobal is quick to remind everyone in Gainesville who owns the state:

Florida fans are not happy with Mario Cristobal but he likely could care less

Throw up The U with pride, Dwayne Johnson! Yup, The Rock showing his Miami pride in Cristobal's post has Canes fans everywhere pretty dang fired up and it's easy to see why. In the replies, you can see that a lot of comments are reminding Cristobal that Miami also lost in the second round.

Hey, we'll look the other way here too, especially since Miami wasn't expected to pull off an upset against No. 2 Purdue. What Lucas was able to get done in his first season in Coral Gables was downright sensational and the future is looking bright.

Meanwhile for Florida, Golden and the Gators were hoping to repeat as the national champs, but Ben McCollum and the Hawkeyes had other ideas. On the last play of the game too, with Florida up by two, the Gators pressed, didn't record the foul they wanted and Iowa hit a game-winning 3-pointer.

What was Golden thinking? That's a question the Florida faithful will keep asking themselves throughout the offseason. As for Miami, Lucas is going to look to reload in the transfer portal, while Cristobal and Co. are getting ready for spring ball to start. After playing for the natty last season, Crisotbal is hoping to win it all next year - it'll be on Darian Mensah and Co. to make that happen.
