Four-star 2026 EDGE Dre Quinn has reopened his recruitment and placed Miami among the programs pushing hardest following his late-September decommitment from Clemson. Quinn, who plays at Buford (Ga.), backed off his Tigers pledge on Sept. 25 and immediately saw attention ramp up from Tennessee, Ohio State, Miami and Texas, with Georgia Tech and Mississippi State also in the picture.

Quinn told Rivals his current six are Ohio State, Tennessee, Miami, Georgia Tech, Texas and Mississippi State, adding that a top tier has emerged. He has locked in two official visits — Ohio State on Nov. 15 and Tennessee on Nov. 29 — and will visit Miami on Oct. 25.

The Hurricanes will get their in-season swing when Quinn arrives in Coral Gables on Oct. 25. He cited development and fit as drivers in the process and praised Miami's position coach — Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor — while talking about UM being a current national contender.

Miami's sales pitch resonates makes sense. Taylor is in his third season coaching the Hurricanes' defensive line, a point of emphasis under Mario Cristobal. Being developed by great coaches is a priority that Miami can fulfill. Quinn has been on the road this month. He took an unofficial visit to Ohio State the first weekend of October (his first trip to Columbus) and made a game-day stop at Mississippi State on Sept. 27.

Quinn is a consensus national prospect in the 2026 cycle and stands at six-foot-three-inches and weighs 2025 pounds. The Rivals Industry Ranking lists him No. 360 overall, No. 39 among EDGE prospects and No. 41 in Georgia.

Miami's 2026 class is currently tracking as one of the ACC's best. The class holds 24 commitments and ranks No. 11 nationally according to 247Sports while On3 slots the group No. 12 nationally and No. 1 in the ACC.
