The decision offers the Hurricanes a spot in a three-team battle for a receiver who put up one of the best junior seasons in Texas high school football and has official visits locked in with each finalist.

Miami makes final three schools for 4-star WR Tre Moore
As a junior, Moore caught 85 passes for 1,443 yards and 19 touchdowns. That came after a breakout sophomore season in which he finished with 38 receptions for 562 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games.
In a district rivalry win over Hendrickson last season, Moore had eight catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns as Weiss rallied from a 14-point deficit to win 41-21.
Moore is a Top247 prospect and a four-star recruit in the 2027 cycle. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 168 overall prospect, No. 23 wide receiver and No. 25 player in Texas. The 247Sports Composite lists him at No. 160 nationally, No. 21 among wide receivers and No. 22 in Texas.
Rivals/On3's industry rankings place Moore at No. 170 nationally, No. 25 among wide receivers and No. 23 in Texas.
Moore has a Miami visit for May 29 and a Washington visit for June 19. He also took an unofficial visit to Ohio State on April 13 and will be back in Columbus.
The May 29 weekend will be very important for Miami. Miami expects a loaded official visit weekend that includes Moore, five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews, receiver Julius Jones, linebacker Kaden Henderson and other national targets.
Miami already has a major receiver piece committed in the 2027 class with five-star local standout Nick Lennear. The Miami Carol City receiver is the No. 12 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite.
