According to On3, Jae Lamar — the four-star Georgia 2026 RB commit — could still take a round of in-season visits, with Miami recruiting him as hard as anyone. Auburn and Florida State are also pushing to win him over. Georgia’s staff is comfortable for now, but the visits could be another opportunity for a program like Miami — which Lamar has already visited — to get back in the race.
At 5-11, 205 lbs, Lamar is a top-10 RB nationally in the 2026 cycle, with verified burst and balance. As a junior he ran for 885 yards on 112 carries (7.9 YPC) and 11 TD in a split backfield for powerhouse Colquitt County.

Jae Lamar's Timeline
- Committed to Georgia (June 25, 2025). Lamar chose the Bulldogs over a final group that included Miami, FSU, Clemson and others.
- Miami has been in deep. During the spring and early summer, Miami made a strong push and hosted Lamar.
- Auburn has traction. He took his first official visit to Auburn in May and left impressed.
- FSU opener is a logical stop as they open against Alabama.
Bottom line for Canes fans: Lamar is not on flip watch today, but visit behavior this fall is the tell. Miami has already done the hard part in establishing trust and keeping contact warm after his commitment. If the Canes can secure another in-season visit (especially around a marquee home date) while Auburn and FSU also jockey, Lamar stays on the board longer than a typical Georgia running back pledge.
Miami currently has one running back commit in the 2026 class in Javian Mallory. Mallory is a 4-star running back from Boca Raton, FL. Per On3, he is No. 21 at his position, No. 43 overall in the state of Florida, and No. 305 in the country.
