Four-star RB David Segarra has scheduled an unofficial visit to Coral Gables for April 11, giving Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes a chance to get a prized out-of-state target on campus next month.

Four-star RB David Segarra sets April visit to Miami
Segarra has also lined up visits to Penn State on April 4, Indiana on May 15, Stanford on May 21, Tennessee on June 12 and South Carolina on June 19. He has already been to Clemson eight times during his recruitment, while also visiting South Carolina seven times and Tennessee seven times. He visited Notre Dame recently on March 21.
Segarra is a 5-foot-10, 205-pound running back and the No. 145 overall player, No. 7 running back and No. 3 prospect in South Carolina (per 247Sports Composite). He is even higher in 247's own rankings at No. 121 nationally and No. 5 among running backs.
Segarra logged 174 carries for 1,460 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns in 11 games as a junior at Byrnes High School, along with 19 catches for 198 yards and four receiving touchdowns. That gave him 1,658 total yards and 21 total touchdowns for the season.
Miami's current running back room
- Mark Fletcher: The clear lead back in the room and coming off a third-team All-ACC season. In 2025, he rushed for 1,192 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
- CharMar Brown: The veteran No. 2 option behind Fletcher. In 2025, Brown put up 474 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, 20 catches for 138 yards, and two receiving touchdowns.Â
- Jordan Lyle: In 2025, Lyle logged 108 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, and three catches for 22 yards in six games.
- Girard Pringle: In 2025, Pringle had 62 carries, 375 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, and 4 catches for 53 yards with one receiving touchdown.
- Javian Mallory: An incoming freshman signee.
