Miami will have one recruiting decision to monitor Wednesday when four-star EDGE Marquis Evans announces his commitment during Rivals Summer Signing Day.

Evans will reveal his choice at 12:35 p.m. ET as part of Rivals' live YouTube special. The Birmingham, Alabama, prospect is down to Auburn, Florida, Miami, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Spain Park standout is the No. 346 prospect nationally, No. 35 edge rusher and No. 16 player in Alabama in the Rivals Industry Ranking. His 2025 junior season included 28 tackles, eight tackles for loss, six sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble in nine games.

Miami hosted Evans on an official visit May 29, and he also took official visits to Tennessee, Auburn and Florida before setting his July 1 announcement.

The Hurricanes remain in the final group, though the latest Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine has Auburn as the clear favorite. Auburn sits at 92.7%, while Miami is listed at 1.1%.

Miami already has two edge commitments in its 2027 class with Jaiden Bryant and Jayvon Dawson.

Rivals' Summer Signing Day will feature nine commitment announcements from 12:20 p.m. through 3:45 p.m. ET. Evans is the second prospect scheduled to announce.
