Miami moved up from 51st to 36th in the NCAA RPI following their sweep of Georgia Tech, who entered the weekend in first place in the ACC. For the first time since early in the season, Miami is projected to earn an NCAA Tournament berth.
Miami is also 36th in the D1Baseball.Com RPI. The Hurricanes have moved up 27 spots in the D1Baseball RPI in the last week. Miami has a six-game winning streak and has won eight of its last eight games. The Hurricanes took advantage of an eight-game homestand by winning seven of those games.
Miami has the 110th toughest strength of schedule, is 18-7 at home, 5-10 on the road and 1-0 in neutral site games. Using a similar idea to the NCAA Net Ratings used for basketball, D1Baseball has Miami with a 5-11 record versus quadrant one opponents, 7-4 in quad two, 2-1 versus quad three and 10-1 against quad four.
Jonathan Wagner of On3 projects Miami as the third seed in the Fayetteville regional to be hosted by Arkansas. Wagner projects Arkansas as the fourth overall national seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Western Kentucky is projected as the second seed in Fayetteville and Missouri State is fourth.

Miami plays at Florida International on Wednesday night and is at Boston College for a three-game series this weekend. The game between Boston College and Miami on Sunday is the annual ALS Awareness game and will be played at Fenway Park.
FIU is currently 151st in the NCAA RPI and Boston College moved up from 63rd entering the weekend to 50th. With three consecutive series wins and a 7-2 record in the last three weekends, Miami has improved to 9-9 in the ACC and is tied for eighth place with Virginia.
Miami plays a three-game series in Charlottesville from May 9-11. North Carolina State and Notre Dame are at Miami in the Hurricanes other two series to conclude the 2025 regular season. NC State is 12-6 in fourth place in the ACC and Notre Dame is 7-14 in 13th place in the conference.
Miami also hosts FIU on May 7. The series versus NC State and Virginia are critical for Miami to improve its RPI. After beginning the season 15-15, Miami has turned their season completely around. Entering the game at FIU on Wednesday at 24-17, Miami is firmly in the discussion for an NCAA Tournament berth.
