Miami is 25th in the USA Today Coaches poll and 26th in the Associated Press Top 25 in the final regular-season rankings released on Monday. The Hurricanes fell from 22nd in the AP Top 25 and 23rd in the USA Today Coaches Poll after a 92-89 loss to Louisville on Saturday.
Miami received 31 points in the USA Today Coaches poll. 5. Louisville moved up three spots in the USA Today coaches poll, with 73 points into 24th in the poll. Miami barely missed the AP Top 25 with 60 points. Tennessee is 25th in the AP Top 25 with 72 points.
Last week was the first time Miami was ranked in the AP Top 25 since it was 24th in the December 11, 2023, rankings. Jai Lucas has led a remarkable turnaround for Miami in his first season. Miami tied the program record with 24 regular-season wins against seven losses.
Miami is one of four ACC teams in the USA Today Coaches poll. In addition to Miami, Duke is number one in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches poll. Virginia is 10th in the AP Top 25 and 11th in the USA Today coaches poll and Louisville is 24th in both polls. Florida is fourth in both polls among other Miami opponents.

Looking ahead.
Miami will play its first 2026 ACC Tournament game in the quarterfinals on Thursday as the number three seed. Eleventh-seeded SMU and 14-seed Syracuse play in the first round on Tuesday. Louisville plays the winner of SMU and Syracuse in the second round on Wednesday. Miami will play the winner of that second-round game.
Miami has not won an ACC Tournament game since advancing to the quarterfinals in 2023 ahead of their Final Four run. Boston College eliminated Miami in the 2024 ACC Tournament. Miami missed the 2025 ACC Tournament after an abysmal 7-24 season.
