Four Hurricanes earned Perfect Game midseason All-America recognition, with freshmen Alonzo Alvarez and Dylan Dubovik landing on the Freshman First Team, Daniel Cuvet making the Second Team as a designated hitter and Derek Williams earning Third Team honors in the outfield.
Miami takes a 22-7 overall record and 4-5 ACC mark into this weekend's home series against Virginia Tech, and those four have been central to almost everything the Hurricanes have done on offense.

Four midseason All-America selections for Miami
Williams and Cuvet have been two of the biggest run producers in the lineup, while Alvarez and Dubovik have given the Hurricanes a pair of freshmen who have already produced at a high level.
Williams has been Miami's best all-around hitter to this point. He has started all 29 games and is batting .415 with 44 hits, 11 doubles, 11 home runs and 47 RBI, while also posting a .508 on-base percentage and .830 slugging percentage. Back in February, he was named ACC Player of the Week after a huge opening weekend, and he later added Baseball America National Team of the Week honors.
Cuvet is batting .311 through 29 games with 33 hits, nine doubles, 10 home runs and 36 RBI, and his 79 total bases lead the team. He entered the year after earning Perfect Game, D1Baseball and NCBWA preseason first-team All-America honors, along with a spot on the Golden Spikes Award preseason watch list.
Alvarez has given Miami young depth behind the plate. In 25 games, he is batting .342 with 26 hits, eight doubles, two home runs and 18 RBI, while also carrying a .981 fielding percentage across 104 chances.
Dubovik is batting .321 with 25 hits, four doubles, five home runs and 21 RBI in 24 games. On the same day he earned Perfect Game Freshman First Team All-America honors, Dubovik was also named to Baseball America's Midseason Freshman of the Year watch list. Earlier in the season, he picked up ACC Player of the Week honors.
Miami returns to Mark Light Field on Friday to open a three-game ACC series against Virginia Tech, which enters the weekend 14-13 overall and 5-7 in conference play.
