Miami won 10-8 on Saturday to conclude a wild weekend series between the Cardinals and Hurricanes. Miami and Louisville each scored 32 runs in the three-game series. The Hurricanes are now 35-15 overall and 15-12 in the ACC as they compete for a double-bye in the conference tournament.
The final game of the series on Saturday continued to be high scoring. There were two ties and four lead changes in the final game of the series on Saturday. Miami took a permanent lead on a two-run Vance Shehan home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Alex Sosa was the star of the game on Saturday for Miami. Sosa had four hits in five at-bats with two HRs, five runs batted in and two runs scored. Dylan Dubovik also hit a HR for Miami. A night after setting the ACC single-season HR record, Louisville first baseman Tague hit his 33rd of the season on Saturday.
Louisville and Miami both scored in each of the first three innings. The Cardinals scored one in the first inning, three in the second and two in the third. Miami scored two in the first to take its first lead of the game, one in the second and four in the third to go back in front 7-6.

Miami closes late
Neither team scored in the fourth or fifth inning. Louisville regained the lead with the mammoth HR by Davis in the top of the sixth. Miami took the lead for good with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Sheahan's HR put Miami in front to stay.
The Miami pitching settled down late, retiring the last eight Louisville batters. Jack Durso pitched the eighth inning with one strikeout. Lyndon Glidewell pitched a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts to record his fourth save.
Miami will conclude the regular season from Thursday through Saturday at Florida State. Florida State is in third place in the ACC. three games ahead of Miami in the loss column with two more against Clemson this weekend. Boston College is two games ahead of Miami in the ACC loss column.
