As things stand, Miami and Mario Cristobal hold seven pledges for the 2027 class and more are expected to be on the way with spring ball off and running. Is there a 300-point offensive tackle ready to add his name to the list?
Why Malachi Toney's Heisman hopes are a real thing for Miami
That's what Canes fans are hoping for, as Irish OT Neff Giwa holds an offer from Miami, he took a visit to Coral Gables earlier this month and according to Hayes Fawcett, he's set to announce his decision on Sunday. Does this mean some good news is on the way for Cristobal and his staff?

OT Neff Giwa is announcing his decision soon and Miami is in the hunt
Who will it be? Per Fawcett, Giwa is down to Miami, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas and Tennessee. Interestingly enough, he took a visit to South Carolina recently as well and per Bruce Feldman, Shane Beamer put a massive NIL offer on the table in hopes he'd skip his Miami trip.
That didn't happen, with Giwa visiting Miami and being blown away during his time on campus. From our chair, this feels like it's going to come down to South Carolina and Miami. So, who is he going to end up committing to?
It's tough to say, and while we're not putting in an official prediction, our gut is telling us that Miami is going to get a major update this weekend. Giwa checks in at 6-7, 300 pounds - he's already got tremendous size for a potential tackle in the ACC.
What makes him so intriguing is that he's a rugby stud and he's never played a football game in his life. He's a project, who will need major coaching at the next level. Who better to help him transform his game than Cristobal and Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal? They could help Giwa take his game to the next level and blossom into a force on the outside. Come Sunday, we'll see where he ends up pledging to, but again, our gut is telling us he'll be Miami-bound.
