Mario Cristobal is in the hunt to land this kid.

At this point of the year, it's always normal to start seeing top prospects trim their massive offers list down. Over the weekend, the Miami Hurricanes made the cut for 5-star OT Jackson Cantwell, the No. 1 prospect in the country for the 2026 class.

Now, another elite talent has included the Canes among his finalists. Sticking with offense, 4-star wideout Cederian Morgan has picked up 27 scholarships throughout his recruitment, but he's now down to 10 schools. Miami is on his list, which is great, but Mario Cristobal and his staff indeed are facing stiff competition to land him:

That's right, the Top 10 for Morgan is Colorado, Miami, Oregon, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State. With Morgan being an Alabama native, plenty of people think the Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers will be the frontrunners for him until the end.

However, keep in mind that Cristobal is an ace recruiter and he is looking for plenty of talented wideouts to join the program moving forward. According to On3, Morgan is the No. 3 wideout in the land for his class, which makes sense since so many teams are going after him.

He is yet to take any official visits this cycle, but that's surely going to change with spring ball around the corner. Just like Cantwell, Cristobal is going to work to get Morgan to Coral Gables in the coming months so he can see everything the program/campus has to offer.

There's loads of excitement surrounding Miami these days, especially with Cam Ward projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, and Carson Beck joining the team via the transfer portal. The Canes can surely use both of those guys as part of a recruiting pitch for Morgan and other big names for '26.
