Miami and Stanford will kick off at 7:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on ESPN on October 25 at Hard Rock Stadium. The prime time kickoff will be the sixth for Miami in seven games in 2025. Miami hosts Louisville on Friday at 7:00 PM EDT on ESPN.
Miami has had three prime-time kickoffs on ABC this season and one on ACC Network Extra. Miami and Stanford are playing for the first time. With five consecutive wins to begin the season, Miami is second in both national polls behind Ohio State.
Stanford has started the 2025 season with wins over Boston College and San Jose State and losses to Hawaii, BYU, Virginia and SMU. The Cardinal won both of their games at home and lost all four road games. Stanford hosts Florida State on Saturday before playing at Miami.
Stanford has lost four consecutive games in the Eastern Time Zone since joining the ACC in 2024. Stanford beat Syracuse in 2024 and lost at Clemson, Notre Dame, North Carolina State and Virginia since beating the Orange. Florida State is the only common opponent for Miami and Stanford before they play each other.

The ESPN Football Power Index projects Miami with a 97.7 percent chance to beat Stanford. North Carolina and Stanford are tied for last in the ACC, averaging 18.8 points per game and 16th, posting 333.5 yards per game. Stanford is 16th out of 17 teams in the ACC, allowing 30.2 PPG and 15th, permitting 418.3 YPG.
Miami is seventh in the ACC, averaging 35.0 PPG and 428.0 yards per game. The Hurricanes are first in the ACC, allowing 13.6 PPG and second, permitting 276.4 YPG. Miami is 16th nationally, outscoring opponents by 16.3 PPG. Stanford is 109th nationally, being outscored by 11.3 PPG.
Miami will be the third game in 2025 for Stanford on ESPN and the fourth on what would be considered a national audience. Stanford lost their season opener at Hawaii on ESPN. Games that have not been previously announced are scheduled 12 days out unless they are put on a six-day hold.
