Miami's pursuit of former Colorado five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton was already shaping up to be a tough fight with Oregon in the portal. Now, it sounds like the Hurricanes may have to deal with another program in the next few days.
Texas is now expected to land a visit from Seaton, according to reporter Pete Nakos.

Jordan Seaton is one of the top players remaining in the transfer portal
That's rough news for Miami, which has been linked to Seaton almost from the moment he announced he was leaving Colorado. Seaton is the kind of plug-and-play tackle teams covet and the clock is ticking with the winter portal window set to close on Jan. 16. Seaton started 22 games at left tackle over two seasons in Boulder.
Seaton (6-foot-5, 330 pounds) was the No. 1 offensive tackle recruit in the 2024 class. He has two years of eligibility remaining and is viewed as an NFL-caliber tackle.
Seaton, ranked as the No. 4 overall transfer and the top offensive tackle in the 247Sports rankings, is expected to draw major NIL bids, with a reported asking price around $2.5 million.
Miami's connection to Seaton came thanks to Hurricanes legend Michael Irvin, who posted on X urging Seaton to come and see him in Miami. Seaton responded back with "Meet me up there."

But, he later posted "Wait Dante Moore Cameback?" after Oregon quarterback Dante Moore announced he's returning for another year of college football. That news adds another layer of intrigue for Miami since Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola transferred to Oregon, but is now pretty clearly the backup QB.
So, while Moore returning may have hurt Miami's chances to land Seaton, there could be a scenario where the Hurricanes make a run at Raiola.

It's tough to tell where Seaton really stands with any of these programs, but Texas getting him in the building is a huge development.
