Georgia cornerback commit Donte Wright sets visit to Miami

The schedule starts at UCLA on May 15-17, then moves to Georgia on May 29-31, Miami on June 5-7, Michigan on June 12-14 and Oregon on June 19-21, with an Auburn visit still to be determined.

Wright committed to the Bulldogs on June 30, 2025, and his relationship with Georgia defensive backs coach Donte Williams has been a major factor. Williams even coached Wright's father in junior college.

On3 ranks Wright No. 21 nationally, No. 3 at cornerback and No. 2 in California. 247Sports places him No. 34 overall, No. 5 at corner and No. 3 in the state. In seven games as a junior, Wright posted 25 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, seven pass breakups, two sacks and a forced fumble.

Wright is committed to Georgia, but he is still taking a full round of visits, and that means the Bulldogs have not completely shut this down. On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine currently lists Oregon as the overwhelming favorite at 97.6%, while UCLA stays in the picture by being close to home. Conventional wisdom says that Wright should be slotted in with Georgia — even with all of the visits that he is about to go on — but maybe there is an actual race here.

The Hurricanes' 2027 class currently ranks No. 7 nationally in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Miami already has four-star safety Jaylyn Jones in the class, but adding Wright would give the Hurricanes a solidified start to building its secondary for the future.
