Miami has a Zoom call with Georgia transfer guard Silas Demary and has contacted UCLA guard Sebastian Mack, who is also in the portal per reports on Sunday. Jamie Shaw of On3 reported to X about Miami being one of five schools who Demary had a Zoom call with.
Demary has had Zoom calls with Auburn, BYU, Connecticut, Kentucky, Miami and Oklahoma. Kentucky had an in-home visit with Demary on Saturday, per Jacob Polachek of Kentucky Sports Radio. The 6'5 Demary was second on Georgia, averaging 13.5 points, third at 3.9 rebounds and led the Bulldogs with 3.1 assists per game.
Demary shot 39.6 from the floor, 37.4 on three-point attempts and 80.4 from the free throw line this season. In his true freshman season in 2023-24, Demary started 36 of the 37 Georgia games, averaging 9.7 PPG, 3.8 RPG and 2.5 APG while shooting 42.4 percent from the floor, 30.3 percent on threes and 70.6 percent on free throws.
Kentucky seems to be the leader for Demary. Polacheck reported on Sunday that Kentucky head coach Mark Pope offered Demary a scholarship. Miami has a connection to Demary with former Georgia assistant coach Erik Pastrana hired by Jai Lucas last week for his inaugural staff with the Hurricanes.

The decision by Mack to enter the transfer portal came after UCLA received a commitment from Donovan Dent of New Mexico, who is the number two point guard and second transfer in the 2025 portal. Mack is originally from Chicago but went to high school in Nevada.
Travis Branham of 247Sports reported on Sunday night Demary will visit St. John's on Monday and Connecticut on Tuesday. With 12 more teams being eliminated from the NCAA Tournament this past weekend expect the transfer portal to have more names enter in the next few days.
