California four-star wide receiver Quentin Hale committed to USC earlier this offseason, but Miami has continued to make him a priority target.
Hale is one of the top pass-catchers out West and one of the best receivers nationally in the 2027 cycle.
We need Quentin Hale at Miami.

Miami trying to stay in flip race for 4-star USC WR commit Quentin Hale
247Sports ranks Hale as the No. 50 overall prospect, No. 9 wide receiver and No. 4 player in California in the 2027 class. The 247Sports Composite has him at No. 45 nationally, No. 8 among wide receivers and No. 4 in California.
ESPN ranks Hale No. 54 in the ESPN 300, No. 10 among wide receivers, No. 10 in his region and No. 6 in California. He announced his commitment to the Trojans on Feb. 20.
Hale finished the 2025 season at Los Angeles Cathedral with 62 receptions for 872 yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games. That followed a sophomore season with 63 catches for 995 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Hale made the move to Centennial for his senior season. Centennial is one of California's best high school programs and annually plays a national-level schedule.
The Hurricanes already have 5-star Miami Carol City receiver Nick Lennear committed in the 2027 class. Lennear ranks No. 16 nationally and No. 3 among wide receivers in the 247Sports rankings.
A flip for Miami here will still be a major challenge. Hale is a local product and Lincoln Riley's staff won't go down without a fight.
But Miami has already shown they can recruit nationally in the 2027 cycle, with a recent flip of 5-star California cornerback Donte Wright from Georgia. Now, the Hurricanes didn't have to pull a California kid out of his home state in that scenario, but the recent on-field success has really helped Miami recruit to a point where it is possible.
