Four-star prospect Jordan Karhoff, a Columbus, Ohio, native out of St. Francis DeSales, has cut his recruitment to five schools: Texas A&M, Georgia, Miami, Virginia Tech and Ohio State.
Rivals ranks him No. 210 nationally, No. 8 at tight end and No. 10 in Ohio. Karhoff comes in at 6-foot-5-inches and weighs 227 pounds.

4-star TE Jordan Karhoff includes Miami in final five schools
247Sports is more conservative, giving him an 89 rating and ranking him No. 19 among tight ends and No. 15 in Ohio. The 247Sports Composite places him No. 246 nationally, No. 11 at tight end and No. 9 in the state.
ESPN has him at No. 187 in the ESPN Junior 300, No. 8 at the position, No. 16 in the region and No. 5 in Ohio.
Karhoff played both tight end and defensive end last season. In DeSales' playoff win over Ashland on Nov. 8, he finished with eight catches for 124 yards and the game-winning touchdown with five seconds left. Earlier, in a win over Hartley on Oct. 25, he had 75 receiving yards, including a 60-yard touchdown. In DeSales' Aug. 29 win over Northland, he logged six tackles for loss on defense.
The hometown pull from Ohio State is something to watch for Karhoff. He plays at St. Francis DeSales with RJ Day, the son of Buckeyes coach Ryan Day, and On3 gives Ohio State the highest percentage to land him among his top teams. But the Hurricanes are right there and have a nice history of developing TEs.
Karhoff has official visits scheduled to Virginia Tech on May 29 and Texas A&M on June 5. Ohio State, Georgia and Miami will bring him in as well.
The Hurricanes' 2027 class has five commits and one of those pledges is South Florida TE/ATH Demarcus DeRoche.
