Miami commit Israel Abrams was one of the biggest stories from Day 2 of the Elite 11 Finals, finishing third on Rivals' top performers list and earning the 247Sports' Alpha Dog honor after his pro day workout at Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach, California.

QB Israel Abrams delivers in pro day setting
Day 2 of the Elite 11 Finals was centered around a pro day script, with each quarterback going through the same 20-throw workout. Abrams was the last of the 20 passers to throw and finished on target with 18 of his 20 attempts, the third-best mark of the night. He hit each of his first 18 throws before missing the final two.
Virginia Tech commit Peter Bourque was the big winner of the night on the Rivals side. Bourque earned the Day 2 Rivals MVP honor after finishing on target with 19 of his 20 throws and beating LSU commit Peyton Houston in a throw-off. Houston also went 19-for-20 and finished second on Rivals' list.
The rest of the Rivals Day 2 top performers list included Kentucky commit Jake Nawrot at No. 4, Nebraska commit Trae Taylor at No. 5, Oregon commit Will Mencl at No. 6, Texas Tech commit Kavian Bryant at No. 7, Ohio State commit Brady Edmunds at No. 8, Clemson commit Kharim Hughley at No. 9, uncommitted quarterback Ryan Rakowski at No. 10 and Alabama commit Trent Seaborn at No. 11.
The Elite 11 Finals brought together 20 of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 class, including every top-10 quarterback in the Rivals Industry Ranking and 15 of the top 20.
QB Israel Abrams has another chance to impress on Sunday
The event concludes on Sunday with a 7-on-7 session, and Bourque, Abrams, Houston and the rest of the top performers will remain in the mix for the overall event honors.
