It's a big week for Miami Hurricanes football players, as guys are looking to make noise and raise their NFL Draft stock during the East-West Shrine Bowl and of course the Senior Bowl as well. Wideout Sam Brown Jr., who transferred in from Houston, has wasted no time in turning heads too.

During practices, Brown has looked sharp, showcasing quality route running and solid hands. During one session at the East-West Shrine Bowl, Brown went one-on-one against Colorado's Shilo Sanders, the son of Deion, and he took him to school. This should definitely open up the eyes of scouts:

Sanders wasn't going to stop Brown from making that catch, as his nifty route running left the Colorado DB with no chance to make a play. On top of that, Brown also posted a pretty sweet leaping grab over Sanders that left people favorably impressed. He sure is helping himself out this week:

This past season for the Canes, Brown hauled in 36 receptions for 509 yards and two touchdowns. Plenty of fans were hoping he'd have more of a role on offense, but he finished fifth on the team in receiving yards.

Cam Ward, the projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, developed a ton of chemistry with Xavier Restrepo, who led the team with 69 receptions for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns. Jacolby George, Isaiah Horton and tight end Elijah Arroyo also finished with more yards than Brown in 2024.

However, that doesn't mean Brown isn't ready to try and prove that he can play at the next level, with hopes that a team will take a chance on him in the later rounds. Thus far, the speedster is doing himself plenty of favors in this college showcase. We'll see how things go for him the rest of the way.
