Acaden Lewis, a four-star guard in the 2025 recruiting class, is scheduled to visit the University of Miami as he continues to weigh his options. According to basketball insider Adam Zagoria, Lewis has already visited St. John's, Villanova, and Georgia, with Miami being his next stop before making a final decision.

Lewis, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound point guard from Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., is highly rated in the 2025 recruiting class. Ranked as high as No. 20 nationally by Rivals and No. 31 by ESPN, Lewis has great ball-handling skills, playmaking abilities and scoring ability.

Lewis initially committed to the University of Kentucky in November but decommitted on April 10, 2025, reopening his recruitment. Since then, he has taken official visits to several programs. During his junior season, Lewis led Sidwell Friends to a 27–4 record, securing both the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference title and the DCSAA Class AA tournament championship. He averaged 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, earning him the 2023–24 Gatorade District of Columbia Boys Basketball Player of the Year award.

In his senior season at Sidwell Friends, Lewis averaged 12.6 points, 3.9 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game. He also showcased his talents on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he averaged 15.3 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game. He formed a strong bond with Malachi Moreno, a Kentucky commit, during their time playing together over the summer.

The Miami Hurricanes and Jai Lucas have changed their roster after the entire 2024-25 team either entered the transfer portal or ran out of eligibility. They have added top recruits Dante Allen, Shelton Henderson, and Slovakian wing Timotej Malovec. The projected starting lineup as it currently stands features Tre Donaldson and Tru Washington in the backcourt, Henderson and Malik Reneau at the forward positions, and Ernest Udeh Jr. at the five spot.
