CBS Sports ranked Miami No. 6 in its list of college football's 10 most complete rosters, placing the Hurricanes behind Texas, Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon and Notre Dame. Miami finished ahead of USC, LSU, Indiana and Alabama in a ranking built around recruiting, transfer additions, returning production and depth across the projected two-deep.

Miami has one of college football's most complete rosters
Malachi Toney returns after one of the best freshman seasons in program history. His 1,622 all-purpose yards led Miami, and his production provides Darian Mensah a proven top target as the Duke transfer takes over at quarterback.
CBS also highlighted Cooper Barkate as one of Miami's biggest offseason additions. Barkate followed Mensah from Duke, while Cam Vaughn, Daylyn Upshaw, Joshua Moore, Vandrevius Jacobs and several younger receivers offer Miami more options than it had at this point last offseason.
Portal additions will help Miami avoid a post-playoff drop-off
Mensah, Barkate, defensive lineman Damon Wilson II, offensive lineman Jamal Meriweather and defensive back Omar Thornton are among Miami's biggest offseason upgrades.
Wilson is the most important addition on defense. Miami lost first-round picks Rueben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor, but Wilson joins a returning defensive front that includes Ahmad Moten Sr., Marquise Lightfoot, Armondo Blount and Justin Scott. Miami's coaching staff has repeatedly pointed to that group as one with meaningful game experience, even as it replaces two major NFL departures.
Thornton adds experience to the secondary after transferring from Boston College, while Meriweather joins a rebuilt offensive line room that also includes veterans Ryan Rodriguez and Matthew McCoy.
The offensive line is the biggest question
CBS identified offensive line as Miami's lingering concern after the departure of several veteran leaders.
But the Hurricanes have size and recruiting pedigree in the room. Jackson Cantwell is 6-foot-8 and 330 pounds, McCoy is 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds, Meriweather is 6-foot-7 and 305 pounds and Rodriguez brings sixth-year experience. The question is whether that collection can become a reliable unit quickly enough for Miami to maintain the physical edge that helped fuel its 13-3 season.
