He'll go down as one of the best Miami Hurricanes wideouts of all time, but Reggie Wayne still has to wait to call himself a Pro Football Hall of Famer. On Thursday night, the 2025 HOF class was officially announced and Wayne didn't get the news he was hoping for.

At this point last year, people were heartbroken when it was revealed that the Miami legend wasn't going to be inducted as a member of the '24 class. It was the fifth consecutive year that he was a finalist, only to see his name get passed up on. You can now make it six years in a row for him. Wayne is not happy about things at all:

Reggie Wayne still has to wait on the Pro Football Hall of Fame

From 1997-2000, Wayne was a joy to watch for the Canes, which included him helping the team win the National Championship in January of 2001. Throughout his career, Wayne posted 173 receptions for 2,510 yards and 20 touchdowns for Miami.

After his brilliant college career, the elite pass-catcher was then a first-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2001. Wayne went on to have an incredible stay with Indy, highlighted by him making countless big-time catches for Peyton Manning.

The two won Super Bowl XLI against the Chicago Bears, a game Wayne will never forget. In his 14-year NFL career, all with the Colts, Wayne hauled in 1,070 receptions for 14,345 yards and 82 touchdowns.

Oh, and he was also a six-time Pro Bowler. Wayne's resume is beyond impressive and he no question belongs in Canton for the rest of time, but 2025 isn't going to be when it happens for him. You've got to feel bad for Wayne, as he entered Thursday night with hopes that the life-changing news would arrive, but it didn't.
