The Miami Hurricanes continue to push aggressively on the recruiting trail, with four-star wide receiver Jasen Lopez emerging as one of their top priorities for the 2026 class. Lopez recently visited Miami and the Hurricanes coaching staff made a strong impression as they look to add playmakers to their future offense.

Lopez, who holds offers from several powerhouse programs has been a key target for Miami’s wide receivers coach Kevin Beard. During his visit, Lopez had the opportunity to meet with the staff, tour the facilities, and observe spring practice. After his experience in Coral Gables, Lopez posted a picture on X with Mario Cristobal.

Miami’s offensive scheme, along with its history of developing wide receivers, is a major selling point as they try to keep Lopez away from other schools. Lopez stands at 5'11'' and weighs 178 pounds. In his junior season he recorded 87 receptions for 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns. Those numbers were good enough to get him selected for the 1st Team All-State.

The Hurricanes are eyeing some major talent for the 2026 recruiting cycle and Lopez is at the top of their list. His blend of size, speed, and route-running ability makes him a great fit for Miami’s passing attack. If the Hurricanes can continue to build momentum in his recruitment, they could be in a strong position to land one of the nation's top wide receiver prospects.

Another notable target is Tristen Keys, the nation's No. 1 wide receiver, who recently visited Miami during spring practice. Keys also expressed enthusiasm about the program and has scheduled an official visit. Additionally, Miami is in contention for Messiah Hampton, a top receiver who has made multiple visits to the campus this year.

These strategic recruiting efforts have placed Miami in a solid position for 2026. Currently, the Hurricanes have the 13th ranked recruiting class in 2026 (per On3) with five 4-star commits.
