Slowly but surely, Miami and Mario Cristobal keep building out the 2027 class. There's still plenty of work to be done and there are some big-name players who the Canes have high on their board. Well, could another exciting pledge be on the way?
That's what fans are hoping for when it comes to in-state offensive lineman Sean Tatum. Checking in at 6-3, 317 pounds, the big-bodied interior lineman is already a total force in the trenches and he's expected to be a problem for d-linemen at the next level. At this point, it won't be a shock if he plays his college ball in Coral Gables, as the second 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction has come in for him to give Cristobal the news he's been wanting:

Miami football appears on the verge of landing in-state 4-star lineman Sean Tatum
A final decision from Tatum is expected to come in sooner rather than later. From our chair, this feels like it could come down to either Florida or Miami. However, with the latest CB pick from 247 Florida staff writer Tyler Harden, it sure looks like The U has the upper hand right now.
Throughout his recruitment, Tatum has been a wanted man, picking up 28 offers. Miami, Florida, Tennessee and Auburn have all been putting in serious work with him, scheduling official visits throughout May and June.
However, it's pretty telling that both Gaby Urrutia, who's incredibly locked in with Miami recruiting, and a Florida reporter feel confident enough to predict that he's going to be ACC-bound. Nothing is finalized there, though, so we'll have to wait and see how things go down.
According to the 247Sports Composite, the Fort Pierce, Fla., product is ranked four stars, the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the country and No. 189 prospect nationally for the 2027 class. Cristobal would love nothing more than to keep him in his home state, while beating out Florida for Tatum would only make things sweeter for him. Again, nothing is final there, but it sure looks like Miami is in a prime spot to pull off an impressive recruiting win.
