Although Jordan Seaton would look very good in a Miami Hurricanes uniform, he has other potential suitors to be had in the transfer portal. The former five-star recruit out of the IMG Academy is in the portal after two years at Colorado playing for Deion Sanders. He is the best player who entered the portal who was not a quarterback. He has been tied to Miami, as well as to Mississippi State thus far.
Seaton is visiting Oregon on Monday after having visited Mississippi State, Miami, and LSU already.

Miami still stands a great chance at landing Seaton, but the Lane Kiffin of it all adds another wrinkle.
Let's now unpack between these four teams who all has the best shot of landing Seaton in the portal.
Miami has competition from three Power Four schools for Jordan Seaton
While LSU and Oregon are obvious power players in the transfer portal for Seaton, just like Miami is, the Mississippi State component is all about his previous offensive line coach in Phil Loadholt at Colorado being on Jeff Lebby's Bulldogs staff in Starkville. The Bulldogs feel like the ultimate dark horse to land Seaton out of the portal, but they did get him to visit first. This could mean something...
At this time, it may come down to where Seaton feels the most comfortable, as well as who is wiling to meet his reported price tag of $2.5 million for the 2026 college football season. LSU has already paid a pretty penny for former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt in the transfer portal. Miami is still in the mix to pry Darian Mensah away from Duke. Oregon always has the Phil Knight Nike money as well.
Overall, it does not serve Seaton to commit until after water finally finds its level after the national championship. Miami needs to know for certain that Francis Mauigoa is turning pro. That feels like a guarantee. It also needs to get Mensah to put pen to paper to come to Coral Gables from Durham. Once that happens, then it paves a pathway for Seaton to take his talents back to Florida this winter.
For now, Miami has to recognize that it is no longer a shoo-in that Seaton is coming to play for The U.
