The Miami Hurricanes are expected to host Florida State transfer Jake Weinberg for a visit Thursday.
Weinberg was Florida State's starting kicker in 2025 and put up a clean extra-point season while handling kickoffs. He started all 12 games, went 12-for-19 on field goals, made all 46 point-after attempts, and produced 56 touchbacks on 61 kickoffs.

Weinberg was perfect in the 2025 Miami game, going 2-for-2 on field goals against the Hurricanes, hitting from 23 and 35 yards.
The Hurricanes got a solid season from kicker Carter Davis, who finished 17-for-23 on field goals (73.9%) and was perfect on extra points (49-for-49). Bert Auburn, a Texas transfer, also saw limited action, going 1-for-1 on field goals and 8-for-8 on extra points.
Weinberg, a South Florida native, was rated among the top kickers in his class by major recruiting services.

Miami recruiting reporter Stephen Wagner logged an On3 expert prediction for the Hurricanes to land Weinberg in the portal on Wednesday. Now, with Weinberg visiting on Thursday, a commitment could be coming soon.
FSU has had trouble keeping players in the program after another disappointing season under HC Mike Norvell. Miami, on the other hand, is one win away from being national champions. The Hurricanes take on Indiana in the CFP national title game on Monday.
